Troy is a Chartered Accountant and joined IG after serving as a tax and financial planning specialist with another wealth management firm. In that role, he worked closely with financial advisors across Canada to develop comprehensive financial plans and tax planning strategies for high-net-worth families and business owners. Prior to that, Troy built a successful financial planning practice and later became part of the management team at a major Canadian organization, where he helped oversee the network of advisors in Western Manitoba.

Troy also has extensive experience in various accounting and financial reporting roles. While working for the Office of the Auditor General of Manitoba, he performed financial statement audits of public entities, crown corporations and pension funds such as the Civil Service Superannuation Board and the Teacher’s Retirement Allowances Fund.

Troy’s education and experience allow him to understand your entire financial situation and make recommendations that consider all aspects of your financial well-being. As such, he is uniquely positioned to help you understand and manage tax effectively in context of your entire financial plan.

He lives in Winnipeg with his wife Brianna and two children Layne and Ellis. He enjoys playing guitar in his band, playing sports and spending time with his family.
